1. Description of Service

Speechly is a web-based speech-to-text tool engineered to convert spoken vocal audio into written text in real time using browser speech recognition capabilities. The service is provided completely free of charge without requiring account registration or software downloads.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Speechly only for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the proper working order of the servers or networks supporting Speechly.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape maliciously, or circumvent operational security controls of the website.

3. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain 100% ownership of your words and transcripts. Speechly asserts zero copyright, ownership, or intellectual property rights over any text, dictations, or notes generated through the tool. All generated text belongs entirely and exclusively to you.

4. Accuracy and Technical Limitations

Automated speech recognition technology relies upon acoustic clarity, ambient room noise levels, pronunciation, microphone fidelity, and the underlying browser speech engine. Consequently:

  • Speechly does not guarantee 100% accuracy of recognized text under all environmental conditions.
  • Users are strongly encouraged to review, proofread, and verify all transcripts before relying on them for critical work.
  • Speechly is not intended for high-risk legal, medical, emergency, or safety-critical applications where transcription inaccuracies could result in physical or financial harm.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Speechly is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser hardware configuration.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Speechly and Toollyo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of or inability to use the speech-to-text service or any loss of transcribed data.
